High quality, sliver polished housing bandpass ADS-B filter tuned to 1090 MHz. Flat passband 40Mhz (3dB) with insertion loss of only 0.5db that can be convenient for high level RF environment where the filter should be the first part in the chain, before the LNA. Filter input and output are DC shorted hence extra ESD protection if the filter is properly grounded.
Input / output connectors are SMA female on one side and the 7/16 male on the other side. The filter is symmetric so input and output can be swapped.
Characteristics:
Filter type: Band pass
Number of pole: 8
Center frequency: 1085 MHz
BW: 40 MHz
I.L.: 0.5dB
Dimensions: 200x120x100 mm
IN / OUT DC grounded
Price: 90 Euro + 25 Euro S/H
Out of the band rejection and attenuation is superb, more than 80dB. Filtering out radio, TV, GSM should not be a problem. Pass band characteristic with a span of 2GHz:
Flat passband with I.L. of 0.72dB (3 coaxial crossover losses included):
Filter tested in harsh RF environment using the simple DVB-T dongle as the receiver. Even with the extra 20dB gain the dongle performed without saturation, both maximum gain set or with the AGCs engaged.
